Gilimex starts work on centralised wastewater treatment station

Gilimex Industrial Park Joint Stock Company on February 15 held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Centralised Wastewater Treatment Station of Gilimex Industrial Park in Thuy Phu commune, Huong Thuy town, Thua Thien-Hue province.

The Gilimex centralised wastewater treatment station will have a capacity of 7,600 cubic metres per day with total investment at $130 billion ($5.4 million), and is expected to be completed and put into operation in December 2024.

This project is a part of the overall synchronous infrastructure development plan of Gilimex Industrial Park to bring a modern, green, clean, and sustainable industrial park.

Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Van Phuong, Deputy Secretary of Thua Thien-Hue Party Committee and Chairman of Thua Thien-Hue People’s Committee said he appreciated the efforts and determination of Gilimex Industrial Park JSC and the companionship of departments in accelerating project progress.

At the same time, he also requested that investors and construction contractors need to focus resources and coordinate closely with local authorities to organise construction, ensuring progress and construction quality, labour safety, preserving the landscape and completing the construction of the wastewater treatment station closely in accordance with the schedule.

Gilimex Industrial Park JSC was established in November 2019, headquartered in Hue city of the central of Thua Thien-Hue.

The company’s long-term development goal is to build a chain of industrial zones in localities across the country. In addition to Thua Thien-Hue, it has a plan to invest in another industrial zone in the southern province of Vinh Long.

In addition, it is also focusing on investment research in other provinces of Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Quang Ngai and Dong Thap for future developments.
